A great lecture is scheduled by the local Zythos branch "De Lambikstoempers".
The lecture will be done by Jef van den Steen himself, and this alongside a beer tasting.

Jef is one of the most experienced beer connoisseurs of Belgium (also brewer at De Glazen Toren - website), and is passionated about beer for already more than 20 years. Especially Lambic is one of his favourit Belgian beer styles.

Jef is also writer for beer magazines as De Zytholoog, Bier Passie Magazine and Smaak.

He is also author of great books like:” Lambi(e)k en Geuze”, ” Trappist. Het Bier en de Monniken”, “Abdijbieren, Geestrijk Erfgoed”, “Geuze en Kriek, de Champagne onder de Bieren” and '' De Smaak van Bier”.

On demand of De Lambikstoempers vzw, a fascinating lecture about lambic beerstyle will be held.

With style and flair, Jef will tell you 'everything' about producers, the brewing, the usage, the taste, etc..... of lambic beers.
You can ask him whatever question comes into your mind. It's sure that the answers will not be disappointing.

In the mean time, you will get some knowledge about the rich history of traditional Payottenland beers like Lambic, Meerts, Faro, Gueuze and Kriek.

Naturally some authentic lambic beers will be tasted and commented.

This beer happening is scheduled on Friday the 15th of June 2007 at 8pm.
