Hi folks,
It's been very busy lately.
Even with being retired I still have too much shortness of time.
Today, I also do the Facebook "Brugge Vroeger en Nu" group, and that is quite an addiction too.
I also needed to buy me a new computer.
After more than 10 years, it finally went dead
But no problem, the one I bought now is a sure 50x faster
Amazing evolutions.
Things are running smoothly again. And after all, I was amazed how easy the change and transition went.
Small detail: My PC went nuts when I was intensively using the Elon Musk Grok AI engine. This blew up the chip !!!!
This needed a beer, so we went to "Tafel en Toog van Xaverius" here at Sint-Andries (very close to Brugge)

They sport a load of Belgian beers, and they do food too.

The beer of the month Feb-Mar is Circus Winter Ale.
An amber dark beer which has a rich and complex flavor profile thanks to a mix of spices and a hint of gingerbread.
A powerful winter beer at 10% alc. => Delicious !

This place is always busy, and that makes it always a cosy relaxing experience.
A focus on the beer of the month now from Circus brewery.
Poured into their proper huge American-style beer glass.
A crystal clear dark amber beauty with a nice head. Looks fantastic folks

Nosing and tasting indeed gives that sweet cinnamon flavor.
But there is more going on. Caramalt malts for instance and a nice candy sugar sweetness (not too much - perfectly balanced). It has a nice boost of hops too.
This beer needs some caution, because it still has a huge 10 vo%l of alcohol. Slowly sipping is the key

The food is tasty, comfortable and not expensive. A perfect pairing with the beer too

Cheers,
Filip
